2 members of the crew managed to escape the crash including

Mark is seeking any information or photos in regard to his Father John Steven who was stationed in the North of England. He beagn his RAF service as Ground Crew in 1939 before becoming a spitfire pilot in 1941. Whilst stationed in Italy his plane was brought down and he was taken Prisoner of war.

Peter wood is seeking anyone who may remember his Uncle Flight Sergeant (Obs) George Thomas Wood who along with the rest of crew was reported killed in action when
Blenheim IV serial Z7450 code TR-O from 59 Squadron took off at 1503 from RAF Detling on the afternoon of 07/07/1941 on reconnaissance duties and was shot down by an enemy destroyer off Gravelines (France).
The other members of the crew were as follows

Sergeant (W. Op.) John Henry Brown

On 28/07/1944 his aircraft LL796 "O" Oscar was shot down over France on Ops to Stuttgart with the loss of 4 crew members.
Sergeant Drury was taken POW and transferred to Stalag Luft VII
Sergeant Cumberlidge taken POW and transferred to Stalag Luft VII
Sergeant Hunter taken POW and transferred to Stalag Luft III
Flight Sergeant Sayer was replaced by Flying Officer W Dinney for this flight
