1623084 WO (pilot) Roy Woodcock is seeking anyone who may have either trained with him or was stationed with him during his time spent in the RAF. Roy spent his RAF service as follows -
ACRC London Aug - Sept 1942 - ACDW Brighton Sep - Oct 1942 ACC Ludlow Oct 1942 - IOITW Scarborough Oct 1942 - March 1943 - 16 EFTS Derby March - April 43 - ACDC Manchester April - May 1943 - Moncton Canada

June 1943 - 33 EFTS Caron Saskatchewan June - July 1943 - 11 SFTS Yorkton Saskatchewan August - December 1943 - IPRC Harrogate UEFTS Brough April - May 1944 - Worli India July 1944 - JSSPI Medawar July - August 1944 - 3 RFU Poona August 1944 - 1673 HCU Kolar August - Oct 1944 - 358 Squadron Digri January 1944 - 358 Squadron Jessore February 1944 - May 1945. His Indian service was to do with dropping men and supplies over jungle areas, mainly what was then
French Indochina. After the war, Roy returned to Harrogate and the Air Ministry, later to Carlisle (14 MU) - where he still lives.

Raymond Airley

1149403 LAC Frank Roberts , ground engineer, is seeking a Raymond Airley , from their time together as teenagers at Parry, Sons and Hanson Ltd (formerly in Moseley Street , Manchester - before it was destroyed during the war) .They joined the RAF together in 1941/42 but were separated and whilst keeping in touch by letter did not meet again until Ray married in 1950/51 a girl from Frome in Somerset. Frank attended the wedding in Frome but lost contact in later years after moving from his home in Otley, West Yorkshire to his current address in Yeadon, West Yorks.
Raymond Airey earned the DFM and held the ranks of sergeant navigator, pilot officer and the flying officer. He married a local girl named Dorothy at the C of E church in Frome ,Somerset in 1950/51. and may have lived at Rose Cottage in or near Frome after the war.

Darren is trying to find any information in regard to his Great Uncle 1576762 Flight Sergeant (W.Op. [Air]) Leslie Chapman CGM . Son of Ernest and Eva Ellen Chapman, of Moulton Washway who along with the rest od the crew of Lancaster I serial NF912 code QR- from 61 Sqdn. took off from RAF Skellingthorpe at 15.42 on the 1st February 1945 on Ops. to Siegen and Force landed after take off and exploded. All of the crew except one were killed.
The rest of the crew were as follows:
68786 Squadron Leader Hugh Wilkinson Horsley AFC Son of Edgar and Renee Horsley; husband of Mildred Elsie Horsley, of York. F.C.I.I.
575245 Warrant Officer (Flt. Engr.) Henry John Pyke
1670353 Flight Sergeant (Nav.) Samuel Fleet Son of Samuel and Rebecca Fleet, of Greatham
1522918 Flight Sergeant (Air Bomber) Victor Douglas Merrow Son of Victor and Elizabeth Merrow, husband of Linda Winifred Merrow, of North Shields.
514220 Flight Sergeant (Air Gnr.) Arthur Albert Sherriff. DFM Son of Samuel L. Sherriff and Sarah Sherriff; husband of Marion Sherriff, of Bolton, Lancashire.
The only survivor, who was badly injured was Sgt (A/G) R T Hoskisson.

F/LT (Pilot) Reginald L Follett RCAF who flew with 567 squadron at Hornchurch - Detling - Hawkinge - Lympne etc in 1944 has many fond memories and is trying to locate some of the RAF lads that he served with. Those such as S/L Hillary St.George Bond of the London area. Earl T Castle -Canterberry area and George Land of Northampton area. And others such as "Stimmie" Stimpson - "Rip" Ripington and Rhodes .

James Robert Hillhouse

Dave Sutherland is seeking information for the widow of C/8680 Pilot Officer (Air Gnr.) James Robert Hillhouse RCAF who,. along with 6 other crew members were reported killed in action when their Halifax V serial DK247 Code MP-W of 76 Squadron took off from RAF Holme on Spalding Moor at 1821 on 3rd October 1943 on Ops to Kassel and due to enemy action crashed near Oldenburg , Germany.
The rest of the crew were as follows:
420094 Flying Officer William Stuart Wilson RAAF. Son of William Francis and Dahlia Juliaetta Wilson, of Bellevue Hill, New South Wales, Australia.Was taken POW but died of his wounds on 17th November 1943.
908204 Sergeant (Flt. Engr.) Anthony Jack Murtagh
1575657 Sergeant (Nav.) Keneth Herring . Son of Grace Hilda Herring, of Leicester; husband of Ivy Frances Herring, of Leicester.
1314497 Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) William Edward Price . Son of John and Harriet Mary Price, of Aberdare, Glamorgan; husband of Rachel Price, of Penywaun, Aberdare.
R/164504 Sergeant (Air Gnr.) Robert Martin Watson RCAF , Son of William and Cecilia Watson, of Lachute, Province of Quebec, Canada.
The only survivor was :
424966 FSgt J.C. Boyd RNZAF who was taken POW. POW No. 3102 Stalag Luft L6 Heydekrug .
The family of Pilot Officer Hillhouse are planning a trip to the grave site in March 2004 and Dave is trying to gather as much info as he can for them.

James Wolfe is seeking and information on a P.O. Bullock who he believes may have been a Spitfire Pilot, perhaps Australian attached to 126sqn. Unfortunately James has no other information - except the photo which is attached. It was taken in Italy 1943 or 44.

Hue Roberts is trying to find any information in regards to his Uncle. * 1819687 Sergeant (Air Gnr.) George Thomas Hagues . Son of George Hagues, and of Mary Jane Hagues, of Deenethorpe, Northamptonshire. who. along with the rest of the crew of Lancaster I serial LM103 Code CF-N from 625 Sqdn. took off from RAF Kelstern at 1823 on 12/13.09.1944 on Ops to Frankfurt and due to enemy action crashed in the target area. The rest of the crew were as follows:
