Claire Minetts father is looking for any information on Sgt C D Belcher from 260 OTU who took off from RAF Wing on 5th February 1943 on a night raining exercise in Wellington IC DV725 *and due to engine failure and no success in finding anywhere to force land, parachuted from 7,000 feet leaving teh bomber to crash in the vicinity of Botisham, Sgnt. Belcher landed near to Claire Minnets fathers house in Quy, Cambs.
This was the second close shave Sgt. Belcher had been involved in. He had been involved in a crash landing on 16 January 1943 when he was with 26 OTU, again from RAF Wing on a navigation exercise when the Port propeller came off followed by partial failure of the starboard engine and crash landed at 1441, wheels up whilst trying to reach Davidstow Moor Air field..
The other crew member at that time was Sgt. J.C. Paynter.

Don Twells is seeking information on one of his relatives - 1674832 Flight Sergeant Norman Twell Son of Fred and Alice Twell, of Hull. who was reported killed in action with the rest of his *crew when Lancaster III serial PB180 code MG-F from 7 Squadron took off from RAF Oakington at 2003 on 26/27.08.44 on OPS. to Kiel and due to enemy action crashed in the Baltic. All crew members were reported killed.

Kirmington at 2217 on 6/7.04.1943 on a mine laying operation off the Biscay ports and due to enemy action is presumed to have crashed into the sea with the loss of all members of the crew.
One other aircraft was also lost on that operation - Halifax II serial DT699 code LQ-G from 405 Squadron.

Nick Nicoll is researching the accident which happened to DK244, Halifax V of 192 Squadron, RAF Feltwell, on 18th November 1943 of which his Uncle was part of the crew
161716 Pilot Officer (Nav.) Thomas Nicoll. Son of Thomas and Isabella Nicoll, of Muirhead who died of his Injuries on 19th November 1943).
In particular Nick is trying to locate 1320713 Sgt Thomas Walter Brandon, Air Gunner . He was injured in the crash, but apparently survived.
Halifax N serial DK244 code DT-Q left RAF Feltwell at 1745 on 18/19.11.43 on special operations and was subsequently recalled and when attempting to land at Feltwell, the aircraft overshot, drifted, struck a tree, crashed and caught fire.
