1458025 Sergeant bombaimer (Whiz)Walker is keen to contact anyone who may remember him. Especially any of the crew of Lancaster I serial W4236 code QR-K from 61 Squadron which took off from RAF Syerston at 2310 on 9/10.08.1943 on ops to Mannheim and due to enemy action crashed at Marbehan Belgium. Of the seven crew 4 of them managed to evade capture and apart from Whiz Walker the others were as follows:

After Ops he was posted to RAF Dalcross as a lecturer on air gunnery and then posted to El Ballah until the end of the war.

Hal Osborn is seeking any information on his father J/18141 Flying Officer (Pilot) Glen Irvin Ransom RCAF , who along with 5 other crew members were reported killed in action when their Lancaster III serial ED974 code OL-Y from 83 Squadron took off from RAF Wyton at 1603 on 20/21.01.1944 on Ops to Berlin and due to enemy action crashed in the target area.

Those who died rest in Berlin 1939-1945 war cemetery. F/S Millard had served with 44 squadron prior to his posting with 83 Squadron where he won the DFM along with
F/S D.L.T. Welensky , a Rhodesian for sharing in the destruction of 2 enemy aircraft during ops to Bocum in September 1943
