Eric Ronald Harper who along with the rest of his crew were reported killed in action when their Manchester I serial L7523 code EM-M from 207 Squadron took off from RAF Bottesford at 1735 on 14/15.01.1942 on Ops to Hamburg and crashed at 2045 at Cliff House Farm, Holmpton, Nr Withernsea, E.Yorkshire. |

He also served at the following 20.05.1940 - No.4 Recruiting Centre, Bridgnorth, 07.06.1940 - RAF Linton-on-Ouse,10.06.1940 - No.5 Initial Training Wing, Torquay, 31.10.1940 - Left for South Africa on the ' Warwick Castle ' troopship for South Africa 02.12.1940 - No.45 Air School , Oudtshoorn, South Africa . 14.03.1941 - No.42 Air School , Port Elizabeth , South Africa 11.06.1941 - No.3 Personnel Reception Centre, Bournemouth. 20.07.1941 - No.25 OTU , RAF Finningley . 03.11.1941 - 207 Squadron, RAF Waddington .11.1941 - 207 Squadron, RAF Bottesford

George Charles Leeke , (better known as Chuck) from Brereton in Staffordshire. who was reported killed in action along with 2 other members of his crew when their Lancaster I serial ME454 Code EA-E from 49 Squadron took off from RAF Fulbeck at 1803 on 16/03/1945 on Ops to Wurzburg and crashed over enemy territory. |

Tom Docherty is currently working on a book about RAF Air Sea Rescue during WWII and would like to contact any members of the following crew who were rescues by RAF Air Sea Rescue or anyone who may have known the crew or have any knowledge about the incident.
Lancaster I serial ME577 code UM-T2 from 626 Squadron took off from RAF Wickenby at 2340 on 05/01/1944 on Ops to Settin and on returning to base after flying for 10 hours ditched off Withernsea, Yorkshire due to lack of fuel. All of the crew shown below were rescued.
