B C Grey is seeking anyone who may have known 50952 Flight Lieutenant (Flt. Engr.) Robert Grey who was reported killed in action along with 6 other crew members when their Halifax III serial JB924 EY-M from 78 Squadron took off from RAF Linton on Ouse on 13.05.1943 on Ops to Bochum and was shot down by a night fighter ( Hptm. Helmut Lent IV./NJGI) and crashed at 0255 4 km NE of Harlingen.
The other crew members who were also reported killed in action were as follows:

Steve Mason is seeking any information in regard to his Great Uncle 964647 Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Clarence James Stringer . Who along with the rest of his crew were reported killed in action when their Hampden I serial AT149 Code PL- from 144 Squadron took off from RAF North Luffenham 31/01/.02.1942 on Ops to Brest and due to enemy action crashed in the target area.

Lancaster III serial PB302 code GT-B from 156 Squadron took off from RAF Upwood
on Ops to Kiel and after being attacked by a JU 88 ditched in the North Sea . All of the crew were rescued by a Danish fishing vessel and an ASR Launch . The crew members were as follows;

Halifax III serial NA629 code PT-W from 420 Squadron took off from RAF Tholthorpe at 2156 on 15/09/1944 on Ops to Kiel
Despite dropping their bombs from 18,000ft at 0119 on target. Whilst returning to base the aircraft developed trouble with its hydraulics causing the flaps, undercarriage and bomb doors dropped. At 0225 an emergency signal was transmitted followed by an SOS at 0350, Fifteen minutes later the Halifax was ditched 70 miles off the east Anglia coast. At 1730 S/L E S Heimpel RCAF spotted the crews dingy and at 2000 an ASR launch rescued the crew and took them to Great Yarmouth

Nina Legowski would like to contact anyone who may remember her Father Flying Officer (Pilot) Tomasz Jan Legowski who was shot down over Belgium / Holland in Spitfire IX AB, 525 on 04/05/1943 and taken Prisoner of war. POW No. 1331. He was then sent to Stalag Luft 3where he remained ,until moved by the Germans, due to the Russian advance. Eventually he managed to get to the American zone.
After finishing training at RAF Dalcross and 58 OTU at Grangemouth, he was then transferred to the Polish Fighter Squadron 316 at RAF Heston and later RAF Northolt
